And relax................
Blimey, it sure is tiring being a middle aged mother of 2 energetic sons.....
I thought this was meant to be a holiday?
Im not complaining, I love my sons dearly, they are just so tiring!!
Not in them selves, but keeping them seperated so they are not fighting all the blooming time!!
No 1 son is definately going into his 'kevin' stage!!
conversation is starting to reflect a variety of grunts & groans...
junior just becomes more eccentric by the day...hes like my little proffessor!!
I seem to spend my days rushing here there and everywhere but at the end of the day have achieved very little...
so all the great plans I had for this week have gone out of the window, its pointless and to be honset I get very little time to spend with the boys.
Fibre fun has been minimal but have a whole day to look forward to tomorrow...
I finally got my last tattoo coloured, its only taken me 2 years to get around to that..
met my new great neice yesterday for the first time, she is soo cute....
and you know what that means dont you?
PINK KNITTING...................................
yeah for a girly!!!!!!!

All the best plans
can go astray!!
so yesterday was day 3 of my break, and the plan was to hit the bookcase in the back room. As a family we tend to see shelves as a dumping ground!!
However no 1 son had gone to his friends for a sleep over on Sunday night. Junior and i were snugged up having a lie yesterday morning when the phone goes at 7.50ma. It was no 1 son in a state. He felt sick so wanted to come home. A quick dress and out we went. He was very teary when we picked him up, not normal!! and said he had an illusion!!
On deeper questioning it turns out he thought he had been hallucinating!! Not that strange as a while back junior was ill and had a raging temperature, and during this he started to hallucinate badly, it was very scary and we had to take him to the hospital. Add that with the start of most haunteds Halloween special and we have a scared boy in a strange bed in the middle of the night!!
He was sick however, so spent a while on the sofa before we headed out to a dear friends for lunch. This working life of mine, hampers my friendships as weekends are taken up with the house and the boys, and the occasional foray to GKs knit n natter.
so no additional tasks were done, Not that I worry housework certainly is no friend of mine!!
When we got home no 1 son pooped again and ended up on sofa with hot water bottle, blanky and some medicine. So made a late supper for us when hubby got in and then proceeded to spend the evening knitting...JOY.
was in a 'not sure what to knit mood', think sorting out my cupboard scared me, too organised and could see all my WIPs. So hit the small wip basket and pulled out juniors baktus scarf and managed to finish that... nice feeling completing something! all I need now is to wash n block!!

Then Shona wasn't wanting to come out to play so did some on my limesicle socks after the rest of the family went to bed at 10pm!! stayed up till midnight watching most haunted, sad I know, but these things interest me, and have a friend who has been there when they film and she assures me its not staged!! A little night cap of a whisky and I was fit to go. Wasn't in the least tired but made myself go to bed....

so today's another day, were off now to go charity shop shopping for Halloween outfits and something to use for blocking projects, hit the music store for some guitar strings and a guitar case, will swing by mums grave and do some tidying up and lay some flowers, then home to prepare the log fire for tonight's knit fest. I do so love being a stay at home mom!!!

Day 2.
Here we are, day 2, yesterday I didnt leave the house, except to go in the garden!!
what joy, no stress, no time deadlines, just do what I wanted when I wanted. The boys, on first day of hols had a pyjama day too.
So todays task was to sort the book case in my little den, again it was overflowing with junk.. so it all came off, moved the bookcase, well cheap shelves actually!! and started all over again...
I sorted all the magazines, and have listed all knitting related ones I dont need on to uk karma, the non knitting ones went in a bag for nanny, whens shes been through they will go to the church.
All mags with patterns in that I may knit have been stored. The hundreds of patterns I had been donated were sorted through and they are headed for a charity project in hartcliffe, along with the wool from yesterday. So hubby has top and bottom shelf, I have the 2 middle ones, the boys have there own shelves in their rooms!! Whilst sorting I also found some wires to make beaded snowflakes for christmas, so tomorrow we will head to hobby craft and make snowflakes on a rainy day. Lovely gifts for the boys granny and favourite aunts!!

A little tangled twisted mess.... Think I have managed to sort, hopefully it will sort when plying.. that will taech me for leaving it open to fingers!!!!
So yesterday was a success, I also managed to spend a few hours knitting a secret project for a swap pal so I cant show it here....
Started a new book, I have become addicted to true blood, the series on the tv, so went out and got the first book, which reflects the current series, strange wanting to read what I am watching, but I generally find the books better, I have often been dissapointed by a film/series after reading the book, so thought I'd do it the other way around for a change...
So now I have finished my task its onto some housework, prepare dinner for the hungry rugby player to come home to, thats no 1 son, not dad, take doggy for long walk and pray for a very cold evening so I can lite the log fire, hubby said it was to warm for a fire last night!! sure hes having hot flushes!!!!
